Located in the heart of Eagle Lake, the Eagle Lake Public Library is dedicated to serving its Community and those who call this small city their Home. Our library offers a wide variety of books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, computers, and a Welcoming environment for all visitors. 

Anyone who lives within Polk County, can get a library card for free. To obtain a library card, we need photo ID and if the address on the ID is not correct, proof of Polk County residence. If you have any questions about getting a library card, please feel free to give us a call. The Eagle Lake Public Library is a member of the Polk County Library Cooperative, which means books are available for borrowing upon request from any of the several other Libraries through the Polk County Library Cooperative. With your library card you can

  • Borrow books, movies, magazines, and more from any Public Library in Polk County                                      
  • Download eBooks, movies and more
  • Use a Public Computer
  • Access the Florida Electronic Library and other research databases

Public Services

  • Printer copies: Black and white - $0.15 per copy, Color - $0.50 per copy
  • Faxing Services: Local - $2.00 for the first 4 pages, and $0.50 for each additional page / Long Distance - $3.00 for the first page, and $1.00 for each additional page. 
  • Laminating services (completed at the front desk) - $1.00 per page, maximum page is 8x10
  • 5 Public Access Computers (must have a guest pass to use), limited to 30-minute increments if other guests are waiting to use a station, children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to utilize the Public Access Computers.
