Responsibilities
The City of Eagle Lake Public Works Department includes the daily operations of the Eagle Lake’s Water Treatment Plants, all duties and functions of the maintenance of city-owned streets and rights-of ways, storm drainage system, and Parks & Recreation divisions. The Public Works Department staff represent a major portion of the City’s workforce within their operating divisions. The Public Works Department maintains 4 pump stations, 16 lift stations, the installation and maintenance of all City Water Meters.
Public Works Director, Brian Fletcher, began his career with Eagle Lake in October 1989 as a trash truck operator, where he quickly moved his way up under the direction of the former Public Works Director, Robert Johnson. Brian has played an important role in a broad range of positions including fleet management, parks and landscape maintenance, roads and drainage, solid waste, facilities maintenance, and emergency management.
