Interested parties, such as title companies and individuals, can request information from The City of Eagle Lake regarding a parcel of real property, condominium, or other similar holding, as recognized by Polk County Property Appraiser. Research requests may include a record or report that identifies any outstanding liens, special assessments, utility balances, fees, fines, open permits, code enforcement activity, or other charges or levies owed to the City of Eagle Lake and readily identifiable in records of the City. For a fee, the City will search its records and disclose any liens, unpaid utilities (water, sewer, and garbage, as applicable), open/expired permits, and code enforcement violations. A separate lien search request form is required for each address (or parcel).
Beginning June 1st, 2020 there is a fee of $50 for each standard lien search request, and a $100 fee for each expedited lien search request.
